Caring for your glasses
- Never place your lenses on a hard or abrasive surface.
- Always use both hands when putting on or removing your glasses. This will ensure that your frame keeps a good fit for longer.
- We recommend using a hard case in which to keep your eyeglasses – especially if you wear rimless spectacles.
- Using a dry cloth to clean your lenses can cause scratching, since fine dust tends to have a sandpaper effect. Keep a micro-fibre cloth at hand for those times when you have no access to
lens-cleaning spray or water. But be sure to shake off any dust from the cloth before you use it.
- The best way to clean your lenses and protect the special coatings applied to the surfaces is to use a special cleaning spray for your type of lens. These sprays do a good job of cleaning your lenses
as well as providing added care and protection for them by leaving a protective seal on the surface of the glasses - which also has an extra anti-static effect.
- If your glasses need thorough cleansing to remove old deposits or if you have gotten sand or grainy dirt on them, be sure to rinse them under running warm water, then clean the lenses with your
fingers using dishwashing liquid, rinse them again and dry them using a soft absorbent cloth. Finally, seal the surface of the lenses with a suitable care spray.
- We also recommend using an anti-fog spray in cold winter temperatures. This will prevent your glasses fogging up when you come in from the cold.
We carry a whole range of suitable products to choose from at our studio.
